Isaiah’s words come to life in Buckden

When Jesus was reading from the scriptures in the synagogue in Nazareth, his home village, he read words from Isaiah: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has sent me to bring freedom to those who are held captive, healing to those who are blind, and the good news of God’s blessing.”  Then he told them that they were about to see what those words looked like in real life. He spend his three years of ministry bring those words to life.

We drew ourselves onto a giant map of the village, to remind ourselves that we can also make Isaiah’s words come to life in our ‘ordinary place’ just as Jesus did.
