The gospel reading this Sunday is a wonderful story. Jesus’ friends saw him praying, and how close he was to God, and they asked him to teach them to pray like that – they wanted to be just as close to God as Jesus was.
Jesus responded by teaching them what we now call ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ – you can come along on Sunday to explore what it means to be close to God through prayer, and you can also read the St Mary’s prayer page to find out more.
Our next concert, at 7.30pm on Saturday 20th July, will be a real treat. Cambridge Chamber Ensemble will entertain us with a programme of light classical music for a summer’s evening.
