A new after school club – Jamworkx
I am delighted to tell you that we are intending to start an after school club for pupils at Buckden School. The new club, called Jamworkx, will initially be open to KS2 pupils and will run on Friday afternoons from 3.20-4.20 starting after half-term. Each session will comprise craft activities and games based around a theme the pupils are learning about in class. The club will be run by a team from St Mary’s all of whom are either teachers themselves or have experience working with children and of course the necessary DBS references will be obtained. We hope the children will really enjoy it.
As we approach Christmas. Do you ever shop on the internet?
How would you like to raise funds for St Mary’s with no cost to you?
One of the best-kept secrets in St Mary’s is that we have been registered with easyfundraising.org.uk for several years already. It’s incredibly simple to use and allows you to raise extra funds for the church at no cost to yourself.
All you have to do is visit the website http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stmarysbuckden ; register as a user and select St Mary’s, The Parish Church of Buckden as your “cause”.
Then you can raise funds every time you shop. http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/how-it-works/
Following consultation with the congregation and ratification by PCC, the main Sunday Service at St Mary’s will be moving to 11am, with effect from Sunday 6th December.
