It’s December already

Advent is a time of preparation and very busy time in St Mary’s.  Work on the chancel and organ chamber roofs is almost complete.  The stonemasons are just finishing off and then the scaffolding will be taken down (in time for Christmas – weather permitting).  In the New Year, our focus will shift to the next project.

Outside the new stars on the tower are lit and the crib is installed in the churchyard.
Inside the Christmas tree and the crib (which appears on the cover of the December Roundabout) are arriving the first weekend of December. The lovely windowsill arrangements will appear over the next couple of weeks.  At the end of November we already lit the first candle on the advent ring and sent our knitted nativity sets off on their journeys.
