We’re already a whole month into 2018 and what a quick month January was! The latest round of work on the church building was completed before Christmas and we are now dealing with the final details of payments and grant reclaims.
We congratulate our own Roger Cresswell on being appointed as part-time chaplain at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in January. For more photos of Roger’s licensing, see the Gallery on this website.
February this year sees the start of Lent, with Ash Wednesday on the 14th.
Our 2018 Lent course is based on “The King’s Speech” and there are two options for taking part:-
Monday lunchtimes – BDCT study lunches (with soup lunch) 12.30pm at the Methodist Hall. For 5 weeks starting 19th February.
Thursday evenings – 8.30pm study sessions at 7 Vineyard Way Thursdays for 5 weeks starting 22nd February

CHARITIES
Our chosen Charity for January-February is Cornerstone Pregnancy Advice Centre www.pregnancyadvice.org.uk This is a very local charity, a pregnancy advice centre based in Huntingdon. Their vision is to reach every woman in Huntingdonshire facing an unplanned pregnancy and offer her time, space and non-directive information in order that she can make a fully informed choice and to offer her on-going support, whatever decision she makes. Please take a look at the display at the back of St Mary’s and pick up at baby’s bottle to fill with coins.
OUR 2017 donations to charity totalled an amazing £8,545 (see below).
