Our chosen Charity for September and October is Church army https://www.churcharmy.org.uk/
Church army is the Church of England’s very own mission arm for bringing Jesus to the most needy and works in some of the most deprived communities in the UK and Ireland with children, the elderly and everyone in between. Trained Church Army Evangelists are based in parishes and on special projects where the need is greatest. Archbishop Justin Welby says “Church Army exists both to talk to people about Jesus and bring them to faith in Jesus but it also does this extraordinary work of serving the poor and the poorest parts of the country and that speaks to the value of human beings.”
Heritage Open Days this year runs from 13th to 22nd September. St Mary’s will be open to visitors every day but there will be no formal tours .
The Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Ride, Drive & Stride event takes place on Saturday 14th September.
