October at St Mary’s
The Harvest is over and Autumn is with us. As always, there is plenty going on at St Mary’s and around Buckden.
Cleaning Crew – Please come along and help if you can on Saturday 5th October from 10am
Saturday Coffee & Cakes – every Saturday 10.30am – noon.
Community Café – in St Mary’s 2.30pm to 4pm Wednesday 9th October.
Our chosen Charity for September and October is Church Army https://www.churcharmy.org.uk/
Church army is the Church of England’s very own mission arm for bringing Jesus to the most needy and works in some of the most deprived communities in the UK and Ireland with children, the elderly and everyone in between. Trained Church Army Evangelists are based in parishes and on special projects where the need is greatest. Archbishop Justin Welby says “Church Army exists both to talk to people about Jesus and bring them to faith in Jesus but it also does this extraordinary work of serving the poor and the poorest parts of the country and that speaks to the value of human beings.”
