February at St Mary’s Buckden

It has been a busy start to the month with the Cleaning Crew in church on Saturday 1st in the morning and February Fun activities for families that same afternoon at Buckden Methodist Church.

The new ‘WHY ON EARTH?’ sessions are just finishing but we are looking at running them again soon.  If you would like to here more about this “fresh way to talk about life’s questions and faith” please contact Rev. Jes.

*NEW* St Mary’s Book Club Tuesday 11th February, 7.30 pm at the Vicarage. Our first book is Counterfeit Gods by Timothy Keller (ISBN 9780340995075).  Come along to discuss the book. If you haven’t had a chance to read it, come along anyway. All welcome to this new venture
Community Café Wednesday 12th February  2.30 – 4pm in the Living Stones Room, All welcome for a cuppa, cake and chat. Support available if you need it. Hosted by Friends in Deed.

M&Ms Ladies’Group Wednesday 12th February
 7.30pm at the Vicarage.
Digging for Buckden – talk by Barry Jobling.  All ladies welcome.

Our chosen charity for January-February is The Papworth Trust The Papworth Trust started in 1917 as a tuberculosis settlement, working with disabled people.  For the last 50 years, it has offered essential services to disabled and older people including care and support, leisure and learning activities, help with work and training and rehabilitation.
