September – Walks and APCM at St Mary’s

Services: We are open for services and for private prayer each week and we also provide a virtual service via YouTube each week (see newsletter for more details)

Our other activities this month seem to have a walking theme!

Getting Active Walks: Every Thursday in September
Meet 7pm outside the Lion to walk for an hour or half hour. All welcome.

Ride & Stride:  Saturday 12 September
CHCT, our nominated charity this month, runs this annual sponsored event. Please sponsor our St Mary’s Team to walk / cycle / drive between our local churches https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/stmarysbuckdenrideandstride

Footsteps in Prayer: Do you want to pray but don’t know where to start? Would you like to walk & pray with/for your neighbours?  This new initiative from Buckden & District Churches Together launches on September 13th. Contact Rev Jes for more information.

 

Annual Meetings APCM & Election of Churchwardens
Sunday 27th September (postponed from April) starting at 12.15pm
All are welcome to attend. There are vacancies for PCC, Deanery Synod and churchwarden. Those on the church or civic electoral roll may vote in the election of churchwardens.  Those on the church electoral roll may vote in the PCC elections.
There are nomination forms at the back of church and on the website.
Due to Covid-19, we will not be using the usual paper volunteer sign-up sheets but will assume that all current volunteers wish to continue in the same roles.
