December at St Mary’s Buckden

It’s Advent, a season of preparation, and at St Mary’s we’re preparing for a full programme of Advent and Christmas Services along with our friends from Buckden & District Churches Together. This year these include a new service “An Advent Time of Prayer with Songs from Taize” and the return of ever popular services like Buckden Village Carol Service (advance booking essential for this one) and St Mary’s Crib Service. See below for a full list of special services on offer at the various churches in and around Buckden.

If you’re looking for an opportunity for quiet and reflection on the run-up to Christmas, you could download the Church of England App “At The Heart of Christmas” which has daily reflections and family activities or, as suggested by Fr David on Advent Sunday, read “Walking Backwards to Christmas” by Stephen Cottrell.
