Today at St Mary’s

Today is the day that we welcome our new Priest in Charge, Revd David Sheppard, being licensed this evening (Tuesday 27th July) in St Marys Church Buckden. We look forward to this new phase in the life of our church.

July-August Newsletter

July News

This month we welcome our new priest-in-charge, Revd David Sheppard, who is being licensed in St Mary’s on 27th July. We look forward to welcoming Revd David to Buckden and starting this new phase of our journey as a church.

There is no “July” Newsletter to download but we will publish a combined “July-August” Newsletter once full details of the Licensing Service are available.

In the meantime, please get in touch with the churchwardens with any questions or requests including bookings for baptisms, weddings and funerals.

Our 11am Sunday services and 9.30am Wednesday Communion continue as normal with the help of our great team of retired and other local clergy, and lay ministers.

For Sunday services, please book in advance by emailing David.pickavance1@outlook.com.  Social distancing measures are still in place, so please comply, always wear a mask in church and remember that numbers are limited. The service will also be streamed via YouTube St Mary’s Buckden.

St Mary’s chosen charity for July-August is Godmanchester Foodbank.
We support Godmanchester Foodbank throughout the year, but are currently trying to give a little extra support and to raise awareness. https://godmanchester.foodbank.org.uk/

We are now in a vacancy (or interregnum) but, thankfully, it’s going to be a short one. Our new priest-in-charge, Revd David Sheppard, will be licensed on 27th July. We look forward to welcoming Revd David to Buckden and starting this new phase of our journey as a church.
