Special Services – Easter

LENT and EASTER 2020

This year’s Lent Study Lunches, run by Buckden & District Churches Together, are following a course “On the Frontline”.  All are welcome to join us on Mondays 12.30pm in the Methodist Hall for soup, bread, and discussion. Last session March 30th.

ASH WEDNESDAY      Wednesday 26th February
9.30am Holy Communion and Imposition of the Ashes

MOTHERING SUNDAY           Sunday  22nd March
8.00am     Holy Communion
11.00am   Mothering Sunday service

PALM SUNDAY        Sunday 5th April
11.00am    Palm Sunday.
6.00pm     Holy Communion

MAUNDY THURSDAY         Thursday 9th April
8.00pm  Holy Communion

GOOD FRIDAY      Friday 10th April
carrying the cross

10.45 am Children’s workshop
Children’s workshop at the Methodist Church; runs in parallel with the service. Under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult.

11.00am     Good Friday Service – starts at St Hugh’s Church
A whole village service organised by Buckden & District Churches Together. The service starts at St Hugh’s at 11am and will process to St Mary’s, then to the Methodist Church with a section of the service to be held in each of the churches. Hot Cross Buns afterwards at the Methodist Church Hall.  If you are unable to take part in the procession, please do still join us at any of the churches along the way.

2.00pm       The Last Hour  Quiet service in St Mary’s

EASTER SUNDAY           Sunday    12th April
8.00am Holy Communion for Easter
11.00 am Family Communion for Easter
