April at St Mary’s Buckden

We have started April on a high with Easter Sunday falling on the 1st day of the month.
Alleluia, Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia!

At the end of March we also received a net £35,600, the grant from Amey Community Foundation.  So we have much to celebrate and be grateful for.

As we move on into April, some important business and administrative tasks must be addressed.

St Mary’s Annual Meeting: this Sunday (22nd)

Come along this Sunday to the Annual Parochial Church Meeting – it’s straight after the Family Communion service, which starts at 10.30am, so to give everyone time to collect their cup of coffee, the meeting will probably start at about 10.45am.  We’ll be electing two churchwardens, and saying a big thank you to Peter Brittain, who has served as churchwarden for the past six years. We’ll also be electing PCC members and sidesmen, and reporting on what’s been happening over the last year.  There’ll also be an opportunity to talk about plans for Phase 2 of the Living Stones Project.  Do come!
