INTERREGNUM

Starting from 1st August 2014, St Mary’s Buckden will be in an interregnum (or vacancy).  This means that we do not currently have a vicar or priest in charge.  The selection process for a new priest will take some months to complete.  In the meantime, Sunday Services and Wednesday Communion will continue as normal with the help of our team of retired clergy and licensed lay ministers.  Bookings for baptisms, weddings and funerals are still being taken – please contact the churchwardens in the first instance.

If you want to know about the process of the interregnum, there is an information sheet which is displayed in church or can be downloaded here
THE INTERREGNUM or more correctly THE VACANCY.

Thank you for your help, your prayers and your patience during this time.

St Mary’s Annual Meeting: this Sunday (22nd)

Come along this Sunday to the Annual Parochial Church Meeting – it’s straight after the Family Communion service, which starts at 10.30am, so to give everyone time to collect their cup of coffee, the meeting will probably start at about 10.45am.  We’ll be electing two churchwardens, and saying a big thank you to Peter Brittain, who has served as churchwarden for the past six years. We’ll also be electing PCC members and sidesmen, and reporting on what’s been happening over the last year.  There’ll also be an opportunity to talk about plans for Phase 2 of the Living Stones Project.  Do come!
