INTERREGNUM

Starting from 1st August 2014, St Mary’s Buckden will be in an interregnum (or vacancy).  This means that we do not currently have a vicar or priest in charge.  The selection process for a new priest will take some months to complete.  In the meantime, Sunday Services and Wednesday Communion will continue as normal with the help of our team of retired clergy and licensed lay ministers.  Bookings for baptisms, weddings and funerals are still being taken – please contact the churchwardens in the first instance.

If you want to know about the process of the interregnum, there is an information sheet which is displayed in church or can be downloaded here
THE INTERREGNUM or more correctly THE VACANCY.

Thank you for your help, your prayers and your patience during this time.

Farewell Party

This weekend we say farewell to the Barrett family as they move on to new adventures.  Ally’s last service in Buckden will be the all-age Family Communion at 10.30am on Sunday 27th July.  After the service we will be celebrating Ally, Sam, Joanna & Daniel’s time in Buckden with a picnic in the churchyard.  All are welcome.  So come along, bring some food to share,  join in the fun and help to give the Barretts a great send-off.

Shiny new website

I was inspired last night by the very public-spirited and supertalented http://www.christianpayne.com/ so here is the result – a website for St Mary’s that is twice the size it was, and with a new look and better all round everything!  There are still a few missing links, so bear with me while I fix them, but otherwise, I’d love to know what you think!
